What's happening in Religious Education?

Hi again! This is Martha, your new Assistant Minister for Lifespan Faith Formation. We are in the process of designing and imagining what our Religious Education program will be like this year. I cannot do this without your help! In the meantime, here are some updates on what is to come and what you can expect on Sunday mornings upcoming:

Sunday, October 6th: This worship (outside! one service!) will be intentionally multigenerational with opportunities for kids participation (particularly in music!). The nursery will be open for kids ages 0-5. We'll have some activities at a tent near the back of our space for kids to play and experience as well.

Sunday, October 13th: Faith formation programming on this day will be All Ages Children's Chapel. All children will be invited to start in worship and depart together after the story for one class together with a special guest teacher.

Sunday, October 20th: RE Age-Based Classes Kick-off Day! We will be launching our RE classes for kids ages first grade and up on this day. Stay tuned for more information.

Saturday, October 26th: Mark your calendars to come as a whole family to a very special First Church Halloween Party from 4:00 - 6:00 pm! This party will be hosted by the youth group and be open to all families of both the church community and the wider community, so feel free to invite your friends. We need volunteers to make it happen, so if you want to help out, fill out the sign-up here!

Sunday, October 27th: this worship will be intentionally multigenerational to mark the Day of Remembrance. Children will be invited to stay in worship and participate.

Stay tuned for more information to come!

Want to help make this program happen? We need you! We currently have three out of six volunteer RE teachers recruited. We cannot launch or run this program without amazing community support. So we need you! Volunteering and helping with RE is easy and FUN, contact Martha at mdneuman@uubelmont.org to get involved.
