First Church youth are participating in Common Cathedral's CityReach program on December 1-2, and we need your help!
CityReach is an overnight urban outreach program which began in March 1996 for youth, young adults, and college students from churches of any denomination. The program gives these young people the opportunity to learn first hand about homelessness from people who have experienced it. During the 20 hour session, participants join CityReach staff to offer hospitality, food and clothing for unhoused folks living in Boston—followed by times of sharing and reflection.
The Youth Group is looking for donations to bring with us on our overnight outreach. Below is a list of items needed including food, supplies, and clothing. Please read through this list and bring your donations this Sunday and next (11/19 and 11/26). You may leave your donations in the conference room in bags and boxes labeled CityReach. Thank you so much for your donations!
