Empowering Change: A Recap of UUMA Youth Corps Tie Dyeing Event

We're thrilled to express our heartfelt gratitude for your enthusiastic participation in our recent Youth Corps Tie Dyeing event! 🌈 👕 It was a vibrant and inspiring day, and for those who couldn't make it, we missed you dearly. The tie-dyeing endeavor was not only a creative outlet but also a means to fundraise for four remarkable partner organizations: I Have a Future, No New Women's Prison, Homes for All MA, and Stories Inspiring Movements.



Are you a youth feeling the urge to translate this inspiration into action? The UU Mass Action Youth Corps has some exciting opportunities lined up:


1. Join Our Youth Leadership Team

If you're passionate about developing skills in social justice organizing, forming deeper connections with like-minded individuals and our partners, and taking on leadership roles, the Youth Corps Leadership Team is the place to be. They host monthly Zoom meetings, and the next one is just around the corner on October 26th at 5:30 pm. Notably, Kira from the No New Women's Prison campaign will be joining to provide further insights. Sign up here.


2. Support the Healthy Youth Act at the State House in Boston

On October 25 (Wednesday), the Youth Corps is heading to the State House in Boston to show their backing for the Healthy Youth Act. You can find more details in the flyer below. 3. Join Our Second UU Youth Corps Event on November 5

Mark your calendars for November 5 at 1:30 pm in Concord, where the Youth Corps embark on the second event for the church year. This time, they're going door knocking to champion the No New Women's Prison campaign. Your participation is crucial. Please RSVP here, and check out the event flyer to learn more here.


4. Stay Tuned for a Housing Justice Action on October 28

UUMA:YC is not slowing down! Be on the lookout for updates about a housing justice action scheduled for October 28. More information is on the way.
