The two youths who gave a homily on Sunday, March 16, about the housing crisis will be partnering with our youth group to hold a drive for the next month. They will be collecting donations of items needed by the unhoused individuals who are supported by Rosie’s Place and the Waltham Community Day Center. Please help us provide this small bit of comfort to these people.
The most needed items for the Waltham Community Day Center are as follows:
Blankets and towels
Men’s and women’s sweatpants
Men’s pants, jeans, and belts
Men’s and women’s underwear (must be new and packaged)
All adult-sized clothes are greatly appreciated
Any non-perishables, but especially healthy snacks
The most needed items for Rosie’s Place are as follows:
Personal care items in BOTH travel and full sizes:
Toothpaste, Toothbrush, Floss, Deodorant, Soap, Body Wash, Lip Balm, Face Cream, Hand Lotion, Shampoo, Conditioner, Hand Sanitizer, and wipes
Disposable shaving razors
Hairbrushes, picks, and combs
Elastic hair ties
Nail polish
Makeup
Paperback and hardcover books
Starting Sunday, March 23, and continuing for 3-4 Sundays, there will be a box labeled and set up for collection. Thank you for helping us offer comfort and dignity to those at the Waltham Community Day Center and Rosie’s Place.
