"The Harvard Cubans" is a documentary directed by Cuban journalist Danny González Lucena that explores a significant cultural exchange between Cuba and the United States in 1900. During that year, approximately 1,300 Cuban public school teachers attended a summer school program at Harvard University. This initiative aimed to expose Cuban educators to modern pedagogical methods and American societal advancements, facilitating Cuba's reconstruction after its wars of independence. The film delves into this historic event, highlighting its impact on both Cuban education and U.S.-Cuba relations.
