About The Event

Chanting has been important in many religious and spiritual traditions throughout history. What role does it play in our society today?

Join us on January 17 (Zoom) for a cursory exploration of the history of chanting and the psycho-physiological research that has offered new insight into the effect of chanting.

Then, attend the in-person workshop on January 24 (First Church, Belmont) to dive more deeply into the theory and practice, how we can approach chanting in UU communities, and how to make it part of our personal spiritual practice. You do not have to attend both classes.

Each stands alone.
