Our first religious education class is for children ages 3 to 5 and Kindergarten. The children learn about UUism and build community in a fun-filled early childhood format. The children worship and learn as they create, explore and play. Children in this class meet in their classroom right at 9am or 11am and do not attend any of the Sanctuary worship service. Young children, especially those new to the class may need extra time to settle into the class at first. Parents are welcome to bring children 10 minutes early, or to stay for part or all of the class if they feel that it will be in the best interest of their children. This class begins with free play time or a craft. The children then gather for circle time discussions and a story, followed by a theme related craft or activity. The class concludes with unstructured play time and more stories. Parents provide a fruit or vegetable snack on a rotating basis. Class ends at 15 minutes past the hour and it is expected that parents will arrive then to pick up their children.
