Soprano Section Leader
Jessica Rossi was delighted to join the Senior Choir at First Church in the fall of 2009. She has held solo positions at several churches, including the Episcopal Cathedral of St. Paul, Boston and St. Mary’s Episcopal Church in Eugene, OR. Jessica is a student of Opera at the Longy School of Music, where she studies with Donna Roll. At Longy, Jessica has performed a variety of works ranging from Bach cantatas to high Romantic art song and operatic arias. Favorite musical theater performances include Maria in The Sound of Music, Hodel in Fiddler on the Roof, and Emma in Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde. As a resident artist with Eugene Opera (OR), Jessica has covered Micaela (Carmen), Nedda (Pagliacci) and Musetta (La Boheme). Every summer, she returns to Oregon to sing under the baton of Maestro Helmuth Rilling with the Oregon Bach Festival Choir.
