A native of Moscow, Russia, Irina received her musical education in the United States, studying under the musical direction of Medea Namoradze of Shenandoah Conservatory. She comfortably sings in English, Russian, French, German, Italian, Spanish and Latin, both in solo and choral settings. In 2009 she made an anonymously sponsored recording of a collection of Russian, French, Italian and German songs and arias.

Over the years Irina has had a chance to perform at the Kennedy Center, Carnegie Hall, and Boston Symphony Hall. She is an active member of Tanglewood Festival Chorus.

Irina holds a B.A. in Vocal Performance and B.S. in Mathematics from the University of Maryland, College Park, and a PhD in Applied Mathematics for the Life and  Social Sciences from Arizona State University. She is currently a post-doctoral fellow at Newman Lakka Institute for Personalized Cancer Care at Tufts Medical Center in Boston, MA.
