First Church “Escalating Inequality” Theme
The book group has chosen “Born on Third Base” by Chuck Collins as its February selection. Chuck will be speaking at First Church on Friday, March 23rd at 7:30pm and we wanted to give the congregation time to read and discuss his book prior to his lecture.

Chuck Collins, based at the Institute for Policy Studies, writes extensively on inequality. His previous books include 99 to 1 and Wealth and Our Commonwealth (with Bill Gates Sr.), and his articles appear in The Nation, The American Prospect, and numerous other magazines and news outlets, including Inequality.org. He has cofounded Wealth for the Common Good (now merged with the Patriotic Millionaires), United for a Fair Economy, Divest-Invest, and many other organizations.
