BERKLEE COLLEGE OF MUSIC NIGHT
Featuring Brooks Robertson and Big Little Banter
The Second Friday Coffeehouse at First Church Belmont is thrilled to host a night of fantastic music from students at Berklee College of Music.

BROOKS ROBERTSON
Fingerstyle guitarist Brooks Robertson played at the coffeehouse last year and just blew everyone away. Brooks doesn’t need much more than two thumbs, eight fingers and six strings on a wooden box to carry his listeners away. He draws inspiration from the fingerstyle mastery of the legendary Chet Atkins, Lenny Breau and Earl Klugh.
Brooks merges hauntingly beautiful compositions, country rhythms and jazzy harmonies with funky licks into his own art form — sometimes delivered with a punch, sometimes with a smile — all firmly intent on keeping the legacy of fingerstyle guitar alive and well.

BIG LITTLE BANTER
Folk duo Big Little Banter is a collaboration project between Nate Daviau and Julia Gartha. Throughout the summer of 2017 Julia and Nate teamed up to bring a new energy to folk and country pop across the Toronto bar scene.
They were introduced at the Berklee College of Music in Boston but bonded through their mutual love of Toronto. In the comfort of their hometown they quickly started bringing stories to life with their intimate and accessible tunes.
You can check out their adventures on Facebook and Instagram at: @biglittlebanter.
