Friday, June 10 at 7:30 PM

First Church’s own keyboardist, singer, arranger, and composer Richard Curzi, returns to the Second Friday Coffeehouse with his band Positive Energy for the 15th time, to close out our 2015-2016 season.

Positive Energy features Richard on keyboards and vocals, Roger Brown on drums, Jim Wooster on guitar, Jon Svetkey and Paul Judge on guitars and vocals, Rick Dimino on bass, and vocalists Bridget Curzi, Heather Quay, Roger Read, and John Howe.

Last year’s show featured The Absolutely Filthy Funk Gentlemen — a horn section recruited from Belmont High School — and they were a smashing success. Always looking to take things up a notch, this year’s show will feature the debut performance of the 16-member Belmont Roxx Orchestra!

The band will perform some of their old repertoire with this new instrumentation, throw in some gems from the classic singing groups of the 60’s, and also will pay musical tribute to a number of recently departed musical icons. This will be a night you won’t want to miss!

In support of one of our featured beneficiaries, the Grow Clinic at Boston Medical Center, we encourage all who attend to bring one of the following donations to the concert:
  • Baby Food, Stages 3 & 4
  • Flintstone Vitamins with Zinc and Iron
  • Diapers (Sizes 2 and 3 in most demand)
