There are several opportunities to volunteer both on the day of Belmont Serves — Monday, October 12 — or the week before (October 6 — 10):
October 6th – 10: Grocery Bag Delivery. Individuals will be given a specific route and a number of bags to deliver to Belmont homes during the week of October 6th – 10th. Bags will have a list of items stapled on them for residents to fill and will be collected and brought to the Food Pantry on Monday, October 12. If you are interested e-mail firstname.lastname@example.org. Coffee and goodies provided.
Registration – Monday, October 12
Ten volunteers are needed from 8 – 9:30 a.m. on Monday, October 12, to greet and register volunteers. This is done with several other people and is a great way to meet people and make new connections around Belmont. Please e-mail email@example.com if you are interested. Coffee and goodies provided.
Easel collection, delivery and return
Belmont Serves has borrowed easels from First Church for the past several years. We are looking for someone who can gather the easels (search for them out around the church) and take them to St. Joe’s by 8 a.m. Monday morning the 12th or arrange to drop them off on Sunday afternoon the 11th. They will also need to be returned to First Church on Monday after 9:30 a.m. The easels are not heavy but it does require the ability to lift, carry and transport them to and from First Church. Contact Jackie Neel if you are want to manage the easels: firstname.lastname@example.org.
