Wednesday, Sept. 16th at 7pm in the Parish Hall: Parents of 9th graders are invited to join us to learn more about our Coming of Age (COA) program. You’ll have a chance to connect with each other, meet our COA mentors and learn about the year ahead. Ninth grade is the beginning of high school and the transition through adolescence and into young adulthood. It is a time when students “come of age.” Many faiths recognize this milestone with a religious tradition — Catholic confirmation or Jewish bar/bat mitzvah, for example. Unitarian Universalists honor this time of transition for both youth and families with the Coming of Age program.
The first COA session for 9th graders and mentors will be Sunday, Sept. 20th at 4pm. Be sure to mark your calendar with our first overnight retreat to the Heifer International Global Village on Sept 26th. Your youth won’t want to miss it!
9th graders need to be registered prior to the start of the program: Registration 2015-16
Please feel free to contact Julie at firstname.lastname@example.org if you have any questions.
