Annual Meeting – Sunday, May 17, at 5 p.m.

Dear Members,

The warm weather has finally arrived during this very busy time of year for your Parish Board.  We are wrapping up the work of the current church year and planning for the coming one, culminating with the Annual Meeting, this Sunday, May 17th, at 5:00 in the evening, in our Parish Hall.  You will be receiving a copy of our Annual Report in the next couple of days, also by email.  As you know from meetings past, the Annual Meeting is the time where we review our past year, and our goals looking ahead to the next year. We talk about accomplishments, staff transitions (and we’ve had a couple of notable ones), and continued plans to keep our Sanctuary and all church space refurbished and maintained.  The Stewardship Drive and financial plan are reviewed–we can’t build the latter without completing the former.  We elect new members of several committees–the Parish Board, Finance Committee, and Nominating and Recruitment Committees.  Lastly, our incoming new President will give us some thoughts on what’s coming ahead for next year.

If you’ve signed the membership book, but never come to an Annual Meeting before, please join us this Sunday at 5:00 p.m.  We will have childcare, we will have a light snack, and I promise to get you home in time for dinner.  This is an opportunity to learn more about your church and see your friends.  I will do my best to keep the meeting moving well and efficiently.  Our church is dependent on you, our members, to keep it thriving and exciting!  I look forward to seeing you there.

Carolyn Howard,

Parish Board President
