Between World Water Day (March 22) and Earth Day (April 22), please join us in celebrating Climate Justice Month! As part of the new Commit2Respond initiative, UUSC is inviting individuals, families, groups, and congregations to take action for climate justice. There are many ways you can get involved!
- Start the month off by participating in the Blue Buckets campaign, which is part of UUSC’s Climate Justice Sunday program. You will learn about water issues in your own community and help families near Kenya’s Kakamega rain forest and in other places to protect their water supply in the face of climate change.
- Throughout Climate Justice Month, take advantage of opportunities to engage in powerful activities and learn together. As a participant, you’ll learn how to most effectively shift to a low-carbon future, advance human rights, and grow the climate justice movement. Sign up for Climate Justice Month.
- If you’re a congregational leader, join Commit2Respond as a congregation or congregational team and please save the dates to observe Climate Justice Sunday and Earth Day in your worship services. A Climate Justice Sunday guide for congregational organizers andEarth Day worship resources from UU Ministry for Earth are available to aid your planning.
- This is your movement. You have the power to respond to climate change in ways that build hope and promote justice.
