Chris & Meredith Thompson – Neap Tide opening

The Second Friday Coffeehouse

Presents a Benefit Concert: Featured Beneficiary

Izotalillo Village – El Salvador

Belmont has had a long connection with El Salvador, helping a refugee village during and after El Salvador’s civil war.  Now The First Church in Belmont is assisting the village of Izotalillo (population 100, school only through 5th grade) with emergency medical supplies and a small fund for other emergencies.  We will be serving the excellent coffee grown in Izotalillo at the Coffeehouse.

Chris & Meredith Thompson

Chris and Meredith Thompson harmonize with identical voices, telling stories of people and their shared experience accompanied by flute, guitar and percussion. Meredith plays Celtic-influenced flute and Latin-influenced rhythms on congas while Chris plays percussive guitar influenced by her background in classical and jazz guitar. Frequent performers at 2nd Friday they were selected for the prestigious Falcon Ridge Folk Festival in July 2002.
