geographically or individually, the class will look at the planet-
wide religious picture at five different time periods.  Let’s see who
was influencing whom in the 15th, 5th centuries BCE and the 1st, 7th,
and 17th centuries CE.
Caring for Older Adults – 7:30pm, Conference Room

Many people are juggling jobs, families and their parents’ or other
family members’ increasing medical needs, frequent emergencies and
ongoing need for care. How do we cope with the needs of our loved ones
and find some balance in our own lives? What do we need to learn as we
take on this task? How do we find information and community? If you
find yourself in this position, you are welcome at this group for
discussion and support.  Facilitated by Miriam Baker and Deborah

Women’s Retreat – April 26-28th at Senexet House

You are invited to join with women of all ages at our annual women’s retreat for a weekend of individual and group activities, indoor and out.  As we share meals, thoughts, experiences, laughter, games and more.  First Church friendships blossom or deepen, enriching our spiritual lives and the life of our community.  All are welcome.  We will gather at Senexet House (, a rustic but comfortable old vacation home in Woodstock, Connecticut (90-minute drive). The bedrooms sleep one to five guests, and meals are fresh, delicious, and prepared by someone else!  Vegetarian and gluten-free food preferences are easily accommodated.
