Gladys Unger and members of the Social Action Committee are hosting a table this Sunday November 11 after both services to collect money and gifts for Rev. Mark Kiyimba’s orphanage in Uganda. Rev. Kiyimba has dedicated his life to help families suffering from AIDS and supporting the LGBTI community. His projects include The New Life Primary School in Kkindu, for 550 kids who have lost their parents to AIDS; The New Life Children’s Home, orphanage for kids infected and/or orphaned due to HIV/AIDS, with currently 44 children; and The Unitarian Church New Life Kampala, the only church in Uganda that advocates for LGBTI community. He will be available to answer any questions during coffee hour after both services. Please consider stopping by our table with a gift or a donation.
His talk has been changed from Sunday at 12:30 to Monday November 12 at 7 pm. All are welcome.
