Kate Chadbourne

Kate sings traditional Irish songs in Irish and English, composes original songs for voice, piano, and flute, improvises musical embellishment for storytellers, writes and teaches about Celtic languages and literatures, invents stories for young and old, shapes sounds and sense into poems. The stories she tells are mainly Irish folktales and medieval legends, often embellished with harp accompaniment.

Out With the Cat

Out With the Cat is: Liam Spaeth, Brendan Spaeth, and Carolyn Caswell Dwyer. Two acoustic guitars and three-part harmonies shimmer with an upbeat and humorous delivery. The band sings timeless classics such as April Comes She Will, Chuck E.’s In Love, and Just A Song, to name a few. They also perform several of their own original songs, and will tell jokes and are apt to petulantly juggle dangerous objects if you don’t applaud for their music!

Liam Spaeth lives in Lincoln and is a member of the band Alter Ego. Carolyn Caswell Dwyer, also of Lincoln, has performed with BroadBand, a 16 member all-female A Capella group that has sung the national anthem at Fenway Park. Brendan Spaeth, from Tyngsboro, writes music and performs in a rock cover band. He is also Liam’s brother.
